IRIS PROJECT RESIDENCY APPLICATION

Application Process

Residencies are awarded on a rolling basis. All residents are responsible for their travel, meals, and transportation. Residency durations are seven to fourteen days. If you're interested, please send a full application via email to info@irisprojectresidency.org. There are no requirements for publication, exhibition, or performance if you're granted a residency. Duration

The length of residency periods ranges from seven to fourteen days.

Accommodation
The residency offers a studio apartment complete with a kitchenette, a full bathroom, and a private porch. Please note that while the residency is on the ground level, it may not be fully wheelchair accessible. Linens and necessary kitchen equipment are provided for your convenience. As the residency is situated in a residential neighborhood, we kindly ask that residents be mindful of our neighbors' peace and quiet. The allowance of partners, children, and pets is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Eligibility

The Iris Project Residency welcomes applications from creative individuals of diverse backgrounds and disciplines such as visual arts, film/video arts, interdisciplinary arts, curation, poetry, and literature. We encourage both emerging and established artists to apply, but applicants should have at least five years of dedicated experience in their chosen field. The Iris Project Residency stands by a policy of fairness and equality for all individuals, regardless of their race, national origin or ancestry, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, economic status, marital status, age or physical ability. Discrimination is not tolerated.

Application Requirements

  • Please provide three to five work samples, keeping in mind that they should not exceed ten (10) images, ten (10) pages of text, or five (5) links to video works.

  • Short Bio.

  • C.V.

  • Demonstrate five years of actively pursuing your profession, you may include publications, exhibitions, and/or postgraduate education.

  • Non-binding proposal for your time at the residency.

  • Letter of Recommendation and/or References (optional).

  • Preferred duration and dates, if known.

  • Conflicts/commitments when unavailable, if known.
